The KPT Approach
The nervous system runs everything
Movement, strength, flexibility, balance, pain, and recovery are all expressions of how your nervous system is managing stress. We start by understanding the stressors your system is under, what pattern it has chosen to manage those stressors, and then begin the treatment process by showing it a more effective way to breathe, move, and perform.
Your body compensates. We find the source.
Where it hurts is rarely where the root problem is. We assess your full-body compensation patterns and take your unique injury and activity history into account to find what's actually driving your symptoms, before addressing both your symptoms and the root cause to create lasting changes.
Performance, not just pain relief
The goal isn't just to relieve symptoms or get you back to baseline. It's to get you back to doing what you love even better than before, and give you the tools to own this new level. Whether you have a specific injury to rehab, or need on-going support for your physical goals, we aim to help you find a new peak, not just return to your pre-injury level.
Before you arrive
Your first session
Initial assessments are 60 minutes. We'll take a full history, map your compensation patterns, identify the root cause of your symptoms, and get hands-on treatment started — all in one visit. You'll leave with a clear picture of what's going on and a plan for what comes next.
How many sessions?
Most presentations improve significantly within 3–6 sessions. Complex or chronic conditions may take longer. After your initial assessment you'll receive an honest estimate — and follow-up sessions are available in 30, 45, 60, or 90 minute blocks to suit your schedule and goals.
The session structure
Every session combines reassessment, hands-on treatment, and exercise — not just time on the table. You'll be active and engaged throughout. Expect to move, to understand what's happening in your body, and to leave with tools you can use between sessions.
What we offer
A thorough assessment is the foundation of effective treatment. We go beyond the site of pain to map how your whole body is moving and loading — identifying strengths and compensations, to determine the actual source of your problem, before any hands-on work begins.
Hands-on treatment targeting the nervous system, myofascial tissue, and peripheral nerves. We draw from multiple evidence-informed techniques to find what actually changes your symptoms — not just manages them.
Manual therapy opens the window for tissue loading, and exercise keeps it open. Every client receives a personalised exercise plan designed to reinforce treatment gains, rebuild capacity, and develop the movement skills needed for long-term independence and performance.

The Practitioner
I'm a Registered Physiotherapist (MPT) with a practice built around one idea: the nervous system is the driver, and everything else follows. Many common physical problems are downstream of how the nervous system is managing the stresses placed on it, as it aims to meet its survival needs. When it can no longer effectively manage these stressors, the system breaks, and pain, weakness, restricted movement, slow recovery, etc. arise. Through understanding the body's priorities, we are better able to manage symptoms while working toward lasting solutions.
My training in Be Activated and RAPID Myofascial Release, combined with an understanding of Biomechanics and Strength and Conditioning principles, gives me a unique and comprehensive set of tools to understand your condition. This breadth of knowledge helps me find the actual source of dysfunction, not just where you're symptomatic, and helps you to make sense of your body's story, before we start the rewriting and rehab process.
I work with athletes of all types, levels, and ages, those in high stress professions, and anyone who is interested in being empowered to take charge of their health. If you're serious about your health and performance, want to learn how your system operates, and need a practitioner who will meet you at that level, KPT is the practice for you.
When I'm not in the clinic helping patients, you can find me in the gym, either lifting or training jiu-jitsu, or out in nature, hiking, snowboarding, and climbing. I also like to recharge through creative projects, exploring what's possible through woodworking, painting, and metalwork.
Conditions treated
KPT treats a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, including acute injuries, chronic pain, post-surgical rehab, and performance limitations. If it involves how your body moves and feels, it belongs here.
Don't see your condition? If it involves movement, pain, or performance — reach out. Most presentations are treatable.
